22 Latest Coming 5G Smartphones From Biggest Brand in 2020-2021 | You Can Buy It.

1. iPhone 12 /12 Pro/12 Pro Max

September 2020

iPhone 12/12 Pro/12 Pro Max release date and price
Apple launches its new phones almost metronomically, and while every year there's a rumor of it changing, it's always held to a similar time. Firstly, the new iPhone release date will definitely be September 2020 - and it's always around the second week.

The latest reports suggest Apple will support 5G in at least one of its iPhone models in 2020, but for 2019, it looks like you'll have to settle for 4G LTE unless you are happy to move to Samsung, Oppo, LG or OnePlus - all of who have a 5G-ready device available.

2. Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is a nearly-perfect smartphone that connects to more 5G networks and has better cameras than ever, though you’ll be paying for the privilege, as this is the priciest Plus smartphone yet. If you don’t mind ho-hum design, the phone handles anything you throw at it, and should last you years - especially assuming 5G networks stay compatible with the S20 Plus as they build out.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is the most impressive ‘middle child’ handset we’ve ever tested – and most likely the best pound-for-pound S20 phone, period. That is, it’s got a bigger display and more battery life than the Samsung Galaxy S20, but it’s not quite as large and pricey as the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus price and availability

  • Initial release date: March 6 in the US and Australia, March 13 in the UK
  • 128GB + 12GB of RAM + 5G: $1,199 / £999 / AU$1,649
  • 512GB + 12GB of RAM + 5G: $1,299 / £1,099 / AU$1,899
  • 128GB + 8GB of RAM + 4G only: AU$1,499 (not available in US)

Leaving the ultra-premium Ultra aside, this is also the year’s first big 5G phone – and one that operates on both the mmWave and sub-6 frequencies. Crucially, the standard S20 only works on sub-6, which means some US carriers won’t even sell that phone, which in turn means the S20 Plus will be their most affordable S20 model. Not that the phone is perfect –- there are plenty of nitpicks that we’ll get into below –- but the phone is a great choice regardless.

3. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra goes big in every way imaginable, with 108MP photos, a 100x camera zoom, 40MP selfies, and a 6.9-inch 120Hz display.

With over-the-top internal specs on a par with laptops, you'll pay more for this phone than any non-foldable phone before it, but that's not surprising – what is surprising are some of the bugs we've encountered that keep the Ultra from reaching its full potential.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is Powerful Android phone, and its most daring sales pitch: you can own the world’s most advanced 5G phone with massive camera specs... if you’re prepared to spend more money than ever on a non-foldable smartphone.

The Ultra is designed for early adopters, and three things stand out: it has a massive 6.9-inch display with next-gen fluid-scrolling tech that will stretch your hand; five cameras to capture 108MP photos, 40MP selfies and 8K video, and 5G antennas with peak speeds 66 times as fast as 4G LTE.

It's a nice jump from the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus cameras, although issues with inconsistent autofocus and overexposure keep the Ultra from being the best camera phone until Samsung issues an update.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra release date and price

  • Initial release date: March 6 in the US and Australia
  • The UK won't get the phone until a week later, March 13
  • 128GB + 12GB of RAM: $1,399 / £1,199 / AU$1,999
  • 512GB + 16GB of RAM: $1,599 / £1,399 / AU$2,249
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra release date is Friday, March 6 in the US and Australia, or March 13 in the UK, alongside the S20 and S20 Plus.
The S20 Ultra costs a staggering $1,399 / £1,199 / AU$1,999, which is more than any non-foldable smartphone we've tested in the past – and that price is just for the version with 128GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM.

4. Samsung's Galaxy Fold 5G

The Fold is one of the most expensive phones ever. It costs $1,980 in the U.S. and £1,800 in the U.K. (€2,000, $2,214), or about double the price of most premium flagships. (For context, the Galaxy S10 Plus starts at $999, and you can get a model with 1TB of storage and 12GB of RAM for $1,599.
